What we collect
Your profile (name, birthday, gender, photos, bio, interests), the area you choose, your approximate location if you allow it, your matches, messages, plans and Circles, and basic device and usage information so the app works.
Location
If you allow location, we store a rounded position to work out who is nearby. Other people never see it: they see your area name and a rounded distance. You can turn it off any time in Settings → Location.
Who sees your information
Other members see your profile, photos and area. Your birthday is only used to show your age. Your messages are visible to the people in that chat. Our safety team can review a conversation when something is reported or to keep people safe, and every review is logged. We don’t sell your personal information.
Notifications and email
We send push notifications and emails about your account, matches, messages and plans. You choose which categories you get in Settings → Notifications. Account and security messages are always sent.
Verification selfies
When you do a selfie check, only our team can see the selfie. If it is approved, we keep it privately so we can look at it again if the account is ever reported for a scam or fake identity. If it is not approved, we delete it, unless it looks like a scam attempt, in which case we may keep it privately for safety. It is never shown to other members.
Safety and moderation
We review reports and may look at reported content and account details to keep people safe.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile, hide when you’re active, go Incognito, block people and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, matches and messages.
